ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park & Visit the Top of the Falls

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s lush countryside, passing traditional villages, rolling hills, and vibrant local markets.

Along the way, you may stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an optional rhino tracking experience, giving you the opportunity to see Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot.

After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Upon arrival, proceed to the top of Murchison Falls, one of Africa’s most powerful waterfalls. Watch in awe as the mighty Nile forces its way through a narrow rock cleft before crashing into the Devil’s Cauldron below, creating a spectacular roar and mist-filled atmosphere.

Take time to capture stunning photographs and enjoy the breathtaking scenery before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise

Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive across the northern sector of the park, the most wildlife-rich area in Murchison Falls National Park.

As the sun rises over the savannah, your experienced guide will help you search for wildlife including lions, African elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, Cape buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeests, oribis, and occasionally elusive leopards.

The vast open grasslands and acacia woodlands provide excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before embarking on an unforgettable afternoon boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. This is one of the highlights of any visit to Murchison Falls National Park.

The boat journey takes you upstream toward the base of the falls while offering exceptional sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants along the riverbanks, buffaloes cooling off in the water, and numerous bird species including African fish eagles, kingfishers, bee-eaters, and occasionally the rare shoebill stork.

As you approach the base of the falls, witness the Nile’s dramatic transformation into a raging torrent as it squeezes through the narrow gorge above.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening at leisure while enjoying the sounds of the African wilderness.
