HOW TO GET THERE OR REACH KAMPALA CITY?
Kampala city is located in the central part of Uganda and accessed through so many areas in the country;
By Road
This is the most common type of transportation to Kampala from different parts of the country.
From Entebbe, the city is approximately 32 Kms from the international Airport either through the Entebbe express road that has no traffic (40 minutes).
Please note that using the Entebbe expressway there is a road toll fee ranging from 5,000/= to 10,000/= per vehicle.
You can also use the old Entebbe -Kampala highway but it has more traffic and the journey will take approximately 2 hours.
From the Southwest part of Uganda, you can use the Kampala-Fort portal highway and Hoima Road to access the city.
From the Eastern part, you can use Kampala – Jinja highway or Mukono -Gayaza road and in the North the Gulu highway.
The travel time ranges from where you are coming from either through public or private means.
Transportation using public vehicles ranges from 5,000/= to 40,000/=. If you are hiring a private vehicle, it’s from $35 to $200 for either saloon or Landcruiser.
By Air
The entry point to go to Kampala by air is through Entebbe International Airport and there are no domestic flights manning this route apart from road Transportation
